About This Job

SSP Innovations, LLC is looking for a Technical Writer with software product technical writing skills to join our growing business. As a Technical Writer you will focus on supporting the Product Team technical and user documentation needs, implement documentation processes and standards, and plan, write and maintain Product documentation for use across internal and external audiences.

Job Duties:

•

Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader/user comprehension.

•

Conduct regular audience analysis to understand persona needs and modify content according to feedback.

•

Generate innovative ideas for content and delivery solutions.

•

Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed.

•

Research SSP Products to fully understand features and capabilities.

•

Review and edit written materials by others and ensure document uniformity, consistency and branding across the Product portfolio.

•

Ensure that documents are complete, understandable, and accurately represent the appropriate presentation of information.

•

Continuously ensure that documents are updated, streamlined, maintained, and archived appropriately.

•

Establish and maintain documentation processes and standards.

•

Work across Agile teams to plan and coordinate documentation updates and deliverables as per Product software release cycle.

Required Qualifications:

•

Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Technical Writing or a technical field, with 3+ years relevant experience.

•

Fluency in technical and common office software.

•

Expert communication skills, both written and verbal.

•

Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.

•

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

•

Ability to check all technical material for consistency and accuracy.

•

Detail oriented with good organizational skills.

•

Excellent time-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

•

Experience with Confluence

•

Experience with GIS, preferably ESRI

•

Writing content for software applications

•

Documentation of Web, Desktop or Mobile Applications

•

Understanding of fiber or utility networks

•

Experience with agile methodology
