Wood is seeking a Training and Competency Assurance Specialist to work with an international team to assist a client in Israel with the facilitation of dynamic simulator training and competence assurance programs.

Reporting to a Project Manager in the Training & Development Services group, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Analyze clients existing training and competence programs
- Contribute to the development and implementation of facility-specific training materials and assessments including e-learning materials
- Develop assessment tools for prior knowledge assessment and functional competency assessment of operators
- Where appropriate actively contribute to development and training of peers within areas of competence
- Provide input into training metrics for training and competency records management
- Support the business development team in determining learning solutions for identified business opportunities and writing proposals
- Ensure a commitment to health, environment and safety and company's best practices

- At least ten (10) years experience within the energy, oil and gas, refining or a complex process industry
- Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of oil and gas production, gathering, and processing and have experience in the provision of operations and maintenance training courses in this area
- Tertiary qualified in chemical or mechanical engineering and/or a Certificate in Process Plant Technology
- Possess a qualification or certificate in workplace training and assessment
- Strong verbal communication skills and experience consulting with mid to senior level client contacts
- Willingness to travel
- Customer focused with a strong desire to assist and work collaboratively across a variety of project areas and key stakeholders
- Ability to write and review technical documents and procedures
- Have the ability to work and communicate tactfully and effectively with a multifunctional team on a range of problem solving activities
