Overview
TMP Janitorial is a rapidly growing, family-operated small business that provides cleaning services for commercial spaces. We are seeking a reliable and people-focused Team Success Coordinator to help us build and support a strong, skilled crew.
In this role, you’ll provide leadership and hands-on support to both current (30+ team members) and new employees, empowering them to consistently deliver exceptional service to our clients.
This position blends elements of hiring & training, field operations and team care—perfect for someone who is organized, self-motivated, creative, and flexible, with a heart for people and a knack for problem-solving.
Location: Chicago and surrounding suburbs
Hours: Part-time to start (15–20 hrs/week), with potential for growth.
Schedule: Must have availability between 3:30 - 7:30 PM on most weekdays.
Key Responsibilities
Hiring & Onboarding & Continual Training
•Advise on information needed for job postings according to field needs.
•Conduct phone and in-person interviews.
•Coordinate on-site working interviews with potential candidates and current employees.
•Conduct onboarding of new hires including field training and policies review.
•Order uniforms, ID badges, and other onboarding materials
•Maintain records of trainings completed or recommended per location per employee
•Recommend training and development opportunities to leadership for overall improvement of company and team
•Facilitate group training and onboarding sessions as needed
Team Support & Field Oversight:
•Serve as point of contact for team call-offs and assist in rescheduling coverage ensuring every shift is covered with as much notice as possible.
•Identify staffing gaps and work with Operations Director to create new positions as needed to avoid future staffing shortages.
•Coordinate and conduct regular job site visits to:
•Provide support and coaching to team members
•Drop off supplies as needed including overseeing system for all sites to have regularly laundered towels and mop heads.
•Assist with repairs of vacuums or document and report further maintenance issues to Operations Director.
•Maintain inventory of supplies and support logistics for site needs
•Maintain strong communication with team members to ensure they have what they need to succeed. Reply to team requests in a timely manner.
•Communicate with suppliers/vendors to order supplies and investigate new solutions to cleaning issues
•Be the on-site team lead for multi-person crews on projects such as post-construction, floor work and move-in deep cleans
Client Interaction & Quality Control:
•Work with Operations Director to help resolve issues reported by clients with professionalism and urgency.
•Possibly assist with new account walkthroughs and offer expertise on staffing considerations.
•Collaborate with TMP leadership on team development strategies.
•Represent TMP Janitorial with integrity and care during all client interactions.
Qualifications:
•Spanish fluency is required
•Experience in the janitorial field is a strong plus
•Prior experience in HR, recruiting, or team support preferred
•Comfortable working both in the office and in the field
•Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
•Comfortable using a computer and web based applications such as Swept to monitor time and attendance and pull reports
•Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursement available)
•Strong phone and text communication skills (cell phone stipend available)
•At least 3 hours available each weekday between 3:30 and 7:30 PM.
