8:00 pm to 6:00 am, Mondays-Thursdays (10 hour days, minimal OT)
- Supports production team for line down issues, troubleshooting tooling problems, and determining when to call supervisor / maintenance for support.
- Performs / supports changeovers on machines including fixtures and tools.
- Assists maintenance in trouble shooting and preventative maintenance.
- Capable of maintaining production equipment including adjusting machine parameters, interfacing with control panels, turning machines on/off, trouble shooting, and tool / fixture replacement.
- Handles defective material to ensure proper disposition / labeling of bins.
- Measures and tracks company metrics / results.
- Provides emergency relief for team members to cover during breaks / lunch, scheduled time off and unexpected absenteeism.
- Procures material when needed.
- Insures cross training and rotation within the zone.
- Performs training and maintains training documentation for team members within the zone.
- Performs process monitoring, performs quality audits.
- Provides input to and monitors conformance to production schedule.
- Provides documentation for machine problems / downtime issues.
- Assists supervisor to ensure proper scheduling of production.
- Assists supervisor in maintaining department supplies and indirect materials for their zone.
- Suggests / proposes process improvements to lower cost, improve quality, and increase performance (including morale) on a regular basis.
- Must be able to pass all pertinent testing for a forklift license.
- Ability to monitor the condition and maintenance of the forklift at all times.
- To perform any other duties assigned by Management and to assume other duties and responsibilities not specifically outlined herein, but which are logically inherent to the function of the Team Leader.
