Team Leaders are considered to be ‘Working Team Leaders’ and therefore tasked with directing the employees within their area to ensure safety and quality regulations are upheld, in addition to coordinating the production efforts to verify that all work orders are completed and shipped according to the production schedule. Team Leaders work directly with the Team Leaders of other departments and are overseen by Supervisors, Production Coordinators and the Production Manager.
- Operate necessary equipment to ensure production is completed to meet quality standards and necessary deadlines communicated by Production Coordinator.
- Assist Production Coordinator in placing employees on necessary work stations to meet daily production schedule.
- Train current and new employees to ensure the team is productive and efficient.
- Follow and enforce all safety and company policies. Communicate any issues/violations to Production Coordinator and/or human resources immediately.
- In the event there is absenteeism, fill in to necessary work stations to keep production running.
- Coordinate with Production Coordinator and maintenance to resolve any issues with equipment.
- Accurately complete work orders and ensure team is logging in/out of Mietrak properly.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, and make every effort to build morale.
- Contribute to team effort by performing all other duties assigned to benefit the overall goals and success of the company.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to monitor and report on processes, materials and other like work surroundings.
- Demonstrate strong coaching, mentoring and other similar member development techniques.
- Ability to make precise and accurate problem resolution related decisions.
