Perfects knowledge of tax principles for all taxes (income, franchise, sales & use taxes, etc.), prepares the associated tax returns, and accounting for tax activity according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and ASC 740.
- Sales and use and taxes other than income taxes monthly compliance
- Monthly, quarterly and annual taxes other than income returns and ensures the returns and associated tax payments are made on a timely basis
- Analyzing sales and use holds for proper tax calculations by cross referencing the tax rates in the applicable county
- Monthly tax accrual, including the associated account roll forward schedule, effective tax rate schedule, account reconciliations and other supporting documentation required for the monthly income tax entry following the ASC 740 principles and other current accounting pronouncements
- Federal and State income tax returns
- Identifies potential tax issues, opportunities for tax savings, and ways to make assigned tax compliance more efficient

Education and Work Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited school in accounting, finance, business or related field and 2 years of related accounting or tax experience.

Demonstrated knowledge of:
- Effective oral and written communication skills, including ability to create schedules and reconciliations for management that succinctly summarize the company's tax position
- Prioritization and handling multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
- Ability to interact with company personnel
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic and high-pressure environment
- Intermediate computer skills and aptitude to efficiently operate work-related software.
