This is a non-management support and monitoring position providing centralized services to endpoints, servers, and storage. Under the supervision of the Senior Systems Engineer, primary responsibilities will be directed toward assisting the Systems/Network Engineers II and Senior Systems Engineer with application services and virtual environments by providing proactive network service support, troubleshooting analysis for the environment, and maintenance of associated equipment. The position will participate in the training of end users.
- Assist with operations, security, software installation, and upgrades for data center services, server administration, and network infrastructure.
- Support and maintain Windows Server networks, Active Directory, Microsoft Azure, and Office 365 environments.
- Assist with the administration of DNS, DHCP, and IP address management.
- Learn and assist with Group Policies and network access control for users and computers.
- Assist with the deployment and support of enterprise printing and imaging services.
- Provide basic support for VMware environments using vSphere.
- Participated in disaster recovery planning and routine testing for both systems and network components.
- Assist with user access, security, and permissions across systems and network resources.
- Monitor and maintain network performance, including bandwidth usage, latency, and uptime.
- Assist with the configuration and troubleshooting of switches, routers, and wireless access points.
- Support centralized management of system and network updates, including Microsoft and third-party patches.
- Evaluate and analyze help desk tickets related to both systems and network issues.
- Document changes and modifications to systems and network environments.
- Serve as an IT resource to other KCPS business locations for both systems and network support.
- Follow established policies for hardware and software acquisition and usage.
- Assist with planning for future growth in both systems and network infrastructure.
- Participate in vendor meetings and assist with the implementation of new technologies.

To Be Successful at This Job, You'll Need To: (Qualifications)
- Basic experience with local area networks, network troubleshooting, and Microsoft Suite, including email systems (e.g., MS Outlook).
- Familiarity with Microsoft tools such as SCCM, WSUS, PowerShell, and Exchange Management Console.
- Basic knowledge of network systems analysis and security practices.
- Strong PC operating system and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Minimum one (1)-year technical experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, Windows Server 2016 and Server 2016 or later.
AD Manage products, Uila, PowerShell, Veeam and Veeam One, Arcmail, Outlook and OWA.
Physical Demands: This job requires that the employee be able to: sit, stand, walk, speak, hear, use hands, fingers, reach with hands and fingers; bend, stoop, lift objects of at least ten pounds.
