We are hiring up to two (2) full time, permanent Systems Analyst, ERP positions working out of Edmonton, AB.
The Systems Analyst, Oracle ERP, is responsible for the design, development, implementation, maintenance, support, and documentation of EPCOR's ERP application. This includes ad hoc support, ticket support, system enhancements, and participation in major capital projects.
This position may be eligible for EPCOR's hybrid work program.
What you’d be responsible for

•Employ open communication and problem-solving skills to identify defects and resolve issues efficiently and effectively within expected timeframes.

•Estimate, design, and configure solutions to meet or exceed customer or project requirements and enhancement delivery targets.
•Abide by all Application Services departmental policies and processes for consistent support and administrative practices throughout Application Services.
•Address system availability issues with the required urgency and contribute to root cause analysis to proactively prevent future issues.
•Provide valuable contributions to documentation and knowledgebase for the long-term sustainability of EPCOR IS.
•Advise and collaborate with other members of Application Services to create and maintain dependable, efficient, and quality application solutions.
•Develop quality and lasting IS solutions to business problems, focusing on integrating solutions into process-based and repeatable models for better long-term maintenance of systems.
•Execute daily job duties with a focus on continuous improvement of processes and systems.
•Participate in both operational and major capital projects
•Work closely with all business users at all levels as assigned
•Address all issues ranging from low to high complexity as assigned
•Handle all incidents (severity 1-5) with professionalism and limited supervision from the manager, ensuring their successful progression through various development, test, and production environments.
What’s required to be successful
•Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering/System Technology, or equivalent is required
•Minimum of four (4) years of development and system analysis experience with Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Tuning.
+ Candidates possessing less than the required years of experience may be considered in a developmental opportunity position
•Minimum of two (2) years of development and system analysis experience with Java and OBIEE
•Extensive experience with large, complex, and mission-critical applications with multiple interfaces.
•Working experience within an Oracle E-Business environment or ERP application.
•Understanding of Oracle Applications functionality, including configuration and use, as well as performing system administration tasks.
•Experience gathering and understanding business requirements from peers and documentation.
•Extensive experience gathering business requirements from business users.
•Demonstrated capability to design, configure, and unit test IS solutions.
•Experience with System Delivery Life Cycle is an asset.
•Experience opening, managing, and resolving service requests with Oracle is considered an asset.
•Ability to troubleshoot critical issues and interact effectively with all levels of personnel.
•Strong multitasking, prioritization, and active learning skills.
