Established in 1939, Tri-County Electric Cooperative is an electric distribution cooperative that serves more than 110,000 members across 16 counties in the north Texas region. The cooperative provides and distributes power to more than 131,900 meters on 9,900 miles of distribution lines. Position Summary
Entry-level or mid-level electrical engineering position. Assisting in or performing system modelling for planning and coordination, project management, data analytics, and electrical design review.
Essential Job Functions
The following is a comprehensive list of the duties and responsibilities associated with this position:
•Perform system modeling of a designated area annually to develop capital project recommendations.
•Maintain system model of designated area consistently to evaluate impact of addition of new loads and options for emergency switching.
•Perform coordination studies and recommend recloser and downline device settings aligned with TCEC standards.
•Perform analytics of TCEC load and use forecasting models to predict future loads for modeling.
•Assist in communicating with TCEC partner vendors and consultants for a variety of projects.
•Assist in the review of electrical interconnection standards for member-owned distributed generation.
•Assist in the design and review of distribution equipment specifications.
•Assist in material procurement efforts for large-scale capital projects.
•Analyze power quality recordings and communicate findings internally and externally.
•Manage capital project execution through communication with Operations.
•Perform data analytics of member and load-related data, creating reports as necessary for trend evaluation.
•Create goals each quarter to contribute to TCEC initiatives, managing self to accomplish those goals.
•Assist in annual budget creation for capital and non-capital expenditures.
•Understand and adhere to all TCEC policies and procedures.
•Understand and strive to excel in all TCEC Essential Attributes.
Position Requirements
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering. Electrical preferred
+ Entry-level or up to 10 years of related experience
+ Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings
+ Advanced computer skills
+ Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are required.
+ Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
+ Must have and maintain a valid Texas State Driver's License. If a valid Texas State Driver's License has not been obtained, then it must be acquired in a reasonable amount of time as specified by the cooperative.

Computer Skills * - Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications. Strong skills in computer usage. Preferred familiarity with system modeling software (Milsoft).
