GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION:
Chroma Systems Solutions, Inc. is a leading designer and manufacturer of power testing instruments and systems including programmable AC Power Source and DC Power Supplies, AC loads and DC Electronic Loads, Digital Power Meters and Automated Testing Systems for applications in LED Lighting, Led Drivers, Aerospace, Defense, Military, Automotive, Medical, Battery, Solar, Marine, and Regulatory Testing.
We’re looking for a well-rounded Systems Engineer, or Test Engineer, who will be an integral part of our teams to effective design, integrate, and validate a number of our products such as Automated Test Equipment. The position requires excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and someone who has previous experience in the power testing field. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Ability to interpret customers test application and technical performance requirements
•Identify discrepancies in legacy requirement data and recommend viable resolutions
•Design and validate automated electrical systems for power conversion products
•Design electrical interfact test adapters, fixture and cable assemblies
QUALIFICATIONS:
•4-Year College degree - BS in Electrical Engineering degree is highly preferred.
•Minimum 3 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Test engineering or a related field
•Ability to generate clear and concise eletrical drawings, wire lists, bill of materials
•Experience developing schematics
•Knowledge of PCB layout software is a plus
•Working knowledge of power testing systems, especially automated test systems
•Software programming is a plus; Python or C#
•Experience using AC/DC power sources, electronic loads, hipot testers, power meters, and general electrical lab test equipment such as DMM's and oscillioscopes
•Experience with communication protocols such as GPIB (IEEE 488.2), RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet, I2C, and CAN Bus
•Excellent written and verbal communcation as well as interpersonal skills will be required to effectively present ideas to peers, management, and outside customers
•Knowledge in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Visio, and Power Point
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a non-supervisory position

General office skills and dexterity are required. Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
