As a key member of the executive leadership team, the Senior Vice President, Strategy & Operations, will drive operational excellence and strategic expansion. This person will oversee all aspects of end-to-end plant operations, production planning, and logistics, ensuring facilities operate safely, efficiently, and responsively to customer needs. An immediate focus will be the successful ramp-up of our new greenfield facility in Arkansas, which will set the standard for operational execution and integration into our broader network.
- Lead and optimize daily operations across all service centers, driving performance in safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
- Oversee the successful launch of the new Arkansas greenfield site, ensuring it's fully operational and integrated into the network.
- Champion lean and continuous improvement initiatives across production, warehousing, and logistics.
- Manage inventory strategies to reduce waste and working capital while improving throughput and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the executive team to shape and execute long-term growth strategies.
- Translate market dynamics and customer feedback into differentiated service offerings and operational plans.
- Lead initiatives to elevate the customer experience and identify strategic growth opportunities like M&A and facility expansion.
- Partner with Sales, Finance, and People Operations to ensure alignment and shared accountability.
- Cultivate a high-performance culture and mentor emerging leaders to build a robust succession pipeline.
- Lead operational P&L performance and ensure alignment with financial goals.
- Establish and manage KPIs to drive accountability and ensure disciplined capital investment and cost control.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field required.
- 15 years of progressive leadership experience in steel, metals, or industrial distribution, including multi-site operations.
- Deep expertise in plant operations, production planning, and logistics.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements, margin expansion, and sustainable growth.
- Technologically savvy with experience in MS Office products and Windows-based computer applications.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L at scale.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and change management skills.
- Strategic thinking with operational discipline.
- Execution focused with track record of delivering results in complex environments.
- Resilient, adaptable, and capable of leading in dynamic market conditions.

- Must be able to work outside normal business hours/days as needed.
