The Opportunity
We are seeking a Contract Analyst who has knowledge and experience in supplier relations, project bid management, and management of contracting strategy, preparation, negotiation, execution and performance of contracts. This candidate will identify and propose improvements to all aspects of contract management through awareness and appropriate involvement in the profession’s body of knowledge and related research, best practices in benchmarking, and knowledge of industry tools and methods.
This candidate will also have a commitment to continuous improvement, with respect to contractual KPI performance criteria, and the development of learning sources to enable the Supply Chain Contract Analyst career path. Working closely with the Category Specialists (Leads), Business Units and the Supply Chain (SC) Teams, the candidate will support the sourcing and contracting strategy to meet project requirements.
What you'll do
•Contract Negotiations and Contract Management Support;
•Manage and administrate the Contract(s) in accordance with Supply Chain Policies & Procedures;
•Identify issues, risks and improvement in the contract negotiation and management processes and strategies;
•Interact with Supply Chain leader(s), Business Unit client(s), accounts payable, other Supply Chain team(s), other internal stakeholders and contractor(s) & supplier(s) as required to effectively perform the work;
•Determine when a contract at risk of scope or time change must be escalated to Management;
•Lead, review and vet potential cost and schedule impact from Contractors in accordance with the Supply Chain Policy & Procedures;
•Maintain all Contractual Documentation including internal and external correspondence in accordance with Supply Chain Policy & Procedures and Contract(s);
•Monitor, review and report Contractor(s) performance in accordance with the KPIs related to the Contract(s);
•Attend periodic Contract(s) Progress meetings;
•Administering cost savings and identifying Contract Value Leakage;
•Support review of incumbent and other potential suppliers, screening for past performance, strategic direction, financial strength, market position, core capabilities, capacity, and other criteria;
•Support development of negotiation strategy;
•Support direct negotiations with shortlisted suppliers; communicate iterative results to business; develop final sourcing recommendations and ensure broad support among stakeholders;
•Ensure contracts fully reflect final negotiated outcomes and award decisions
•Actively contribute to team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and deliver productivity in line with service level agreements (SLAs).
•Ensure individual compliance to training requirements, work standards, policies and procedures.
•Other duties as assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
•Two years of Supply Chain experience in the development of Supply Chain processes, specifically, materials and equipment related supplier agreements, and supplier relations (equivalent experience working in the oil and natural gas industry in direct collaboration with a Supply Chain group will be considered).
•Two or more years of experience in the energy industry.
•Experience in Supply Chain Management process and systems.
•Experience in contract formation and negotiation, including commercial aspects (should cost modeling, supplier market analysis, KPIs)
•Commercial Acumen: Understanding of contract structure, commercial structures, terms and conditions, and supplier performance
Preferred Qualifications
•Midstream, power project development, or construction experience.
•Project management or project controls skills and experience.
•Experience with SAP/Arriba modules.
•Stakeholder Management: Establishes credibility and rapport with stakeholders.
•Communication Skills: Demonstrates excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
