The Supply Chain Intern will support the corporate team in the areas of Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Product Lifecycle Management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program
- Enrolled in Bachelor’s Degree program (preferably Supply Chain, Operations or Business);
- Microsoft Office Suite proficient;
- Ability to travel occasionally to local facilities;
- Helps with training needs in support of new procedures and standards;
- Support the development of new programs that support the Generac Manufacturing System (GMS);
- Organizes documents, standards, policies and procedures within our document control system;
- Prepares charts and reports in support of the Supply Chain team that are used to drive performance gains;
- Prepares presentations in support of the deployment of standard Generac tools, methodologies, standards, practices and processes;
- Participate in and support the execution of Kaizen and Rapid Process Improvement (RPI) events that are led by the OPEX team to eliminate waste, reduce cycle time and improve business processes;
- Lead a supply chain project related to the department policy deployment
- Demonstrates relentless drive and determination to achieve success;

- Must be detail oriented with an attention to eliminating variation or inconsistencies in documents and systems;

Physical Demands
: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 - 50 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
