We are seeking a creative and motivated Supply Chain Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of purchasing, inventory, and supply chain processes. This internship is within our flagship Denver facility where the latest technology and very large inventory (~30,000 tons) are held.
As a Supply Chain Intern at Triple-S Steel, you’ll be immersed in real-world operations and mentored by experienced professionals across our purchasing, logistics, and inventory teams

Responsibilities:Assist in analyzing key supply chain metrics such as inventory turnover, supplier performance, and lead times using internal reporting tools. Gain hands-on experience transforming data into actionable insights to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Learn how purchasing decisions are made by working closely with the procurement team. Participate in vendor communications, assist in evaluating quotes, and help track performance and on-time delivery to ensure optimal supplier relationships.
Collaborate with logistics personnel to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments. Learn about transportation modes, freight cost analysis, and how Triple-S manages the flow of steel products across regional and national markets.
Observe and assist in managing a 30,000-ton inventory using cutting-edge tracking systems. Understand warehouse layout strategies, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy techniques used to support our high-volume operations.
Work on a lean-focused project to help identify and reduce inefficiencies within our supply chain processes. Learn how Lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies are applied in a real manufacturing and distribution environment.
Partner with teams from operations, sales, and finance to understand the interconnected nature of supply chain decisions and their impact on business performance.
