Position Summary
Paramount Extrusions is seeking a proactive, results-driven Inventory, Supply Chain & Warehouse Manager to lead all aspects of inventory control, warehouse operations, and supply chain management at our Paramount, CA facility. This hybrid role plays a critical part in ensuring inventory accuracy, smooth warehouse flow, reliable procurement, and on-time order fulfillment.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on—capable of driving process improvements and systems development while ensuring daily operational excellence. This position partners cross-functionally with Production, Sales, Customer Service, and Finance to maintain alignment, efficiency, and high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Inventory Management
•Lead day-to-day warehouse operations: receiving, storage, staging, packing, and shipping.
•Implement cycle count processes and maintain inventory accuracy above 95%.
•Ensure timely and accurate input of inventory data into the MRP system.
•Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
•Optimize warehouse layout, material flow, and labeling systems.
•Oversee packing tools and equipment maintenance; ensure uptime and functionality.
•Align inventory levels with production demand while minimizing carrying costs and waste.
•Maintain FIFO and traceability of raw and finished goods.
Supply Chain & Procurement
•Manage the sourcing and procurement of raw materials, packaging, and operational supplies.
•Build and maintain vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, lead times, and service levels.
•Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions when needed.
•Forecast material needs in coordination with production and sales to avoid stockouts.
•Develop and implement contingency plans for supply chain disruptions.
Team Leadership & Performance
•Hire, train, and lead warehouse and inventory team members.
•Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
•Conduct performance evaluations, skill matrix reviews, and corrective action plans.
•Monitor time and attendance; address under/overstaffing proactively.
•Implement training programs to enhance leadership, technical skills, and safety compliance.
Cross-Functional Coordination
•Collaborate with Production Planning, Sales, and Customer Service to align inventory and shipping schedules with customer demand.
•Track and improve On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance.
•Escalate material defects or out-of-spec product to the Quality department.
•Partner with Finance and IT for accurate reporting, costing, and ERP functionality enhancements.
Quality & Compliance
•Ensure all packed and shipped materials meet internal and customer quality standards.
•Develop and implement inspection protocols and corrective action procedures.
•Maintain compliance with OSHA, safety regulations, and internal SOPs.
Qualifications
Required:
•5–7 years of experience in warehouse, inventory, or supply chain leadership in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
•Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems (e.g., EPICs, Epicor, SAP, NetSuite).
•Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage warehouse personnel.
•Demonstrated success in improving inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and warehouse throughput.
•Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
•Certified to operate warehouse equipment.
•AA degree or equivalent work experience.
Physical Requirements
•Ability to stand for up to 10 hours.
•Able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
•Ability to push, twist, and pull materials and equipment.
Preferred:
•Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or Business.
•APICS (CPIM, CSCP) or Lean Six Sigma certifications.
•Experience in aluminum extrusion or metal manufacturing environments.
