Job Title: Operation Supervisor
POSITION PURPOSE
The Operation Supervisor will monitor and control the execution of the Tailings and Water Operations. Operations Supervisors will execute daily work plans and ensure personnel carrying out the work meet or exceeds expectations. The Operations Supervisor also works with engineering in creating the deposition plans of Tailings Storage Facilities (TSFs). This position must have a strong understanding of the pump house and water systems operations. Operations Supervisors are responsible for coaching and developing personnel, including frequent safety conversations. Work closely with other departments to understand requirements and ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.

Position Responsibilities
• Understands the importance of safe production
• Manage and ensure all employees are working in compliance with all Pinto Valley Mine and MSHA safety guidelines and procedures.
• Manage and ensure all employees and contractors are working in compliance with all Pinto Valley Mine standard operating procedures.
• Responsible for investigating and reporting incidents.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
• Establish and meet aggressive timelines for project readiness completion.
• Provide personal with regular communications including progress updates issue resolution.
• Ensure Safe Efficient Execution of assigned projects.
• Work with contractors & employees to meet HSEC, quality productivity goals.
• Communications between HSEC, engineering, and Project Owners to make sure Schedule and Budgets are met and compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal codes requirements.
• Behave in a way that demonstrates support of Capstone Copper’s Values: Safety, Accountability, Excellence and Caring.
• Responsible for but not limited to all tasks/duties assigned or required.
• Construction minded, forward thinking individual that can identify potential bottlenecks in the project schedule.
Position Requirements
Knowledge
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 3+ years of related experience
• Excellent recordkeeping and organizational skills to include confidential information.
• Strong analytical and planning skills.
• Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office) with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Able to speak, comprehend, read, and write English.
Key Competencies / Skills
• Minimum of 3 years combined experience in Supervision, Maintenance, Construction Management, Project Management, and/or Safety.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Most of the work will be in the field with occasional visits to the user departments within the mine &/or processing units.
• This role is generally 70% field environment and 30% office environment.
• Schedule is generally 7 on 7 off 12-hour shifts, depending on project needs.
