About This Job

Trans Mountain Corporation operates Canada’s only pipeline system transporting oil products to the West Coast. We deliver approximately 890,000 barrels of petroleum products each day through a dual pipeline system of more than 1,150 kilometres of pipeline in Alberta, British Columbia and Washington state.

Trans Mountain also operates a state-of-the-art loading facility, Westridge Marine Terminal, with three berths providing tidewater access to global markets.

The Supervisor, Pipeline Maintenance is responsible for the implementation of field activities under the Pipeline Maintenance and Repair Program, Right of Way Maintenance Program and Capital Projects. The supervisor has direct oversight of the Region’s Technicians, providing field leadership and guidance.

This position is based in the Kamloops/Hope location and reports to the Manager, Pipeline Maintenance (West).

Key Responsibilities

Supervise department personnel and contractors, providing mentorship, coaching and direction while ensuring compliance with the team in Trans Mountain Performance Review Program, Health and Safety Programs, Contractor Competency Assurance Procedure and Environmental Protection Plans.
Oversee team maintenance, safety, and training management programs to assign duties/work orders and ensure tasks are completed before due dates.
Effectively represent Trans Mountain when engaging with third-party stakeholders, including landowners, various levels of Government, Regulators, and adjacent utility operators.
Collaborate with contractors to present project scopes of work, review bid and estimate submissions, arrange site visits, and assign designated representatives to projects, ensuring compliance and protecting Trans Mountain's interests.
Submit weekly updates to Leadership outlining schedule, progression and budget milestones.
Liaise with other Supervisors, Managers, and Subject Matter Experts to implement and maintain approved standards and procedures.
Work with budget coordinators to track and forecast both operational and sustaining capital budgets.
Maintain qualifications required to respond to emergency situations under the Trans Mountain Emergency Management program.

Qualifications And Professional Experience- Minimum of 10 years of technical experience with the pipeline industry and/or related industrial industry.

- High School completion or higher is required.

- Certifications or experience in one or more of the following areas are considered an asset:

Welding

Trade ticket - supports operations knowledge
NDE Certification (CGSB Level I
Class 1 Driver’s License
AMPP/NACE CIP Level II
Welding Inspection (CWB Level II)
Specific knowledge/training on metal coating applications, NDE techniques and assessments, welding procedures and project management.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including staff supervision, coaching, and mentorship.
Strong interpersonal and excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Committed to maintaining a high standard of personal and workplace safety, including the safety of company assets, employees, and the public.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite programs.
Possession of a valid provincial driver's license.


Other Requirements And Information

May need to provide support outside of regular business hours and/or on the weekend.
Travel to various site locations is required.
