We are looking for an entry-level Operations Supervisor for the Filter Plant Slag Mill to oversee the activities of a single shift or a segment within the processing operations, spanning across all shifts or multiple areas.
This role is a great opportunity to progress your career into a leadership role in one of the world's leading mining operations. Reporting to the Operations Superintendent, you will be responsible for:
- overseeing operating employees and organizing equipment deployment to fulfill production and safety standards within the designated area
- Coordinating and supervising daily production activities to ensure smooth operations.
- Setting priorities for the team to achieve task completion and coordinates work activities with other supervisors and departments.
- Addressing issues using established practices and precedents; decisions are influenced by policies, procedures, and the business plan.
- Facilitating Lean and management system activities within the team or designated area.
What you will need for this role
Safety Commitment: A dedicated commitment to the safety of yourself and your team.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of Supervisory experience in a mining or industrial environment.Technical Expertise: Demonstrated experience and involvement within ore handling environment with mobile equipment
Leadership Skills: Leadership experience and confidence in leading, developing and coaching team members
Communication and Organization: Effective communication and organizational skills.
Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Sutie
Educational Background: Tertiary degree or Trade/Technical diploma in a relevant discipline would be considered an asset and a valid driver's liscense.
