We are looking for a Supervisor Ore Delivery System (ODS) who will be responsible for the day-to-day organization and direction of all production and development activities of a designated shift to meet or exceed production goals in a safe, cost-effective and environmentally sound manner.

Reporting to the Superintendent ODS and working in an exciting and unique environment within the Iron Ore Company of Canada, you will be:

- Be Actively participating in IOC's safety program and role model appropriate safety behaviours (safety observations, group safety talks, planned general inspections, accident/incident investigations, etc.)

- Ensure personnel, equipment and work areas are in compliance with all safety policies and regulations by providing required training, tools and monitoring

- Develop and promote a positive employee relations environment within the operations crew and across shifts

- Provide clear work objectives and expectations of the performance required to achieve safety and production targets and minimize, identify and eliminate situations that could cause equipment damage

- Maximize crew and employee performance and safety through training and matching employee experience to daily equipment allocation and priorities

- Provide consistency between shifts through timely setup of and by informing the oncoming shift of pertinent operating conditions


What you’ll bring

- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team

- You must live in Canada and have the legal right to work there. We do not offer international relocation, or work permits for this position

- 3-5 years of experience in a Production and/or Maintenance Supervisory role

- Strong work management execution history

- Strong safety focus and willingness to enforce safety protocols and procedures

- Minimum of a Class 5 Driver’s License

- Experience using SAP for work management is an asset

- Trade certification (Journeyperson) or Engineering/Engineering Technology Diploma would be also considered an asset

Where you’ll be working

We are a leading North American producer and exporter of premium iron ore pellets and high-grade concentrate with average iron grades greater than 66%. With a team of over 2,700 employees, IOC is committed to providing value and continuity for our customers, employees, communities and shareholders through our unique mine to port approach, taking advantage of our full integration and wholly owned infrastructure to deliver our high-quality concentrate and pellets to our customers across the globe.

IOC’s operations include a mine with five operational pits, a concentrator and a pelletizing plant located near Labrador City in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. We also operate a wholly-owned 418 km railway, the Quebec North Shore and Labrador Railway (QNS&L), that links our Labrador operations to Company-owned port facilities in Sept-Iles.
