The salary range for this role is $113,500 to $116,500.
- Lead efforts to improve Electrical PM & Parts optimization and drive reliability through better job scoping, sequencing, and tool preparation.
- Develop and implement maintenance and reliability strategies for electrical systems and equipment.
- Participate in the design and installation of new or modified electrical systems and equipment.
- Work with coordinator and SYS Tech on day-to-day deliverables.
- Receive the planned and scheduled work from the coordinator, schedule and assign jobs and tasks contract employees as required.
- Ensure each job is completed efficiently and safely.
- Supervise all electrical work during plant and area shutdowns.
- Manage the work of outside electrical contractors
- Work in the field and alongside plant system technicians and maintenance mechanics to provide direction and technical expertise as required.
- Ensure electrical and instrument work is executed in compliance with Central Plains Cement site safety policies and procedures.
- Coordinate correction of instrumentation issues with Systems Technicians.
- Ensure adequate supply of EH&S equipment and supplies, availability of safety and emergency procedures and proper working environment and conditions.
- Manage the electrical and instrument backlog in Maximo, completing work orders as work is done and entering work orders when issues are discovered.
- Ensure shutdown work is completed per schedule.
- Verify proper parts are staged for scheduled work prior to execution.
- Advise coordinator of jobs not completed
- Work with Tabware CMMS system, Word, Excel and plant specific information systems.
- Advise Coordinator of annual budgeting needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in an Electrical/Instrumentation related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a continuous manufacturing process or related heavy industry specifically focused on Maintenance of all facets of electrical and instrument systems.
- Knowledge and experience with NFPA 70E standards.
- Experience in the cement industry is strongly desired.
- Demonstrate ability in planning, organizing, directing and developing the maintenance department.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and equipment, including motors, VFD’s, generators, transformers, and switchgear.
- Proficient in troubleshooting all electrical systems including 120/240 & 480 three phase power distribution, motor controls, PLC I/O and connected devices. VFD Drives, Power Distribution Equipment, Some familiarity Instrumentation and PLC’s.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, etc.
- Professional certification.
- Prior experience in the cement industry.
- Working knowledge of PLC programming and process control systems is preferred (ControlLogix, PLC-5 and SLC 500).
- Experience in instrumentation, motors, starters and VFD’s, communication networks (Modbus, Modbus Plus, Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, etc.)
