Supervisor Distribution Planning & Engineering

Reporting to the Regional Manager, Eastern Ontario, the Supervisor, Planning & Engineering will be responsible for the effective operation of this key department which includes the management and leadership of the planning and engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for providing engineering guidance on the development and implementation of strategies and operating plans, budgeting, taking into account targets and related actions for improvement in incident prevention, production, output quality, P&C, design and implementation. This position is also responsible for maintaining the GIS/OMS and project management of the electrical systems throughout the Cornwall, Gananoque, and surrounding areas. This position will reinforce the company’s core values, the health and safety policies/procedures and comply with all external legislation and standards.

The incumbent will have practical knowledge of industry rules, common electrical utility practices, regulations (such as but not limited to the OEB, CEC, and EUSA) and a demonstrated competency to maintain positive customer relationships, work with external consultants, foster harmonious labour relations, provide support as required and seek process improvement opportunities.
