The Supervisor – Asset Management Reliability leads CLECO Generation’s Reliability team in delivering advanced predictive maintenance (PdM) services—including vibration and oil analysis, thermal imaging, acoustics, and critical asset performance testing. This role is pivotal in embedding a culture of data-driven decision-making, ensuring that all maintenance strategies and asset management practices are guided by actionable insights. By leveraging real-time data and analytics, the Supervisor drives lifecycle asset performance optimization and ensures full alignment with CLECO’s asset management principles.
Key Responsibilities

•Strategic Asset Management: Participates in the development and execution of maintenance strategies and initiatives that enhance asset reliability and reduce lifecycle costs, in alignment with Cleco’s asset management standards.
•Budget & Resource Oversight: Manages the Reliability group’s budget and allocates resources to support asset management objectives and optimize performance across the generation fleet.
•Technical Leadership: This role requires a proactive leader who can translate technical insights into actionable strategies that support long-term asset health and organizational reliability goals.
•Continuous Improvement: Facilitates structured analyses and root cause investigations to drive ongoing improvement. Anticipates long-term impacts beyond the immediate issue and delivers data-driven insights and recommendations to prevent recurrence
•Condition Monitoring & Diagnostics: Oversees the collection and interpretation of condition monitoring data (vibration, oil analysis, thermal imaging, acoustics) for both rotating and static equipment, supporting diagnostics and predictive maintenance (PdM) activities.
•Risk Management: Supports risk management by identifying and communicating changes in equipment asset health that may impact reliability, safety, or operational performance.
•Program Planning & Execution: Plans and directs all Reliability-related duties, objectives, and initiatives. Coordinates scheduling of equipment performance testing across the generation fleet.
•Data Integrity & Reporting: Supports analysis and standardization of equipment data across the fleet.
•Performance Monitoring: Monitors, trends, and evaluates equipment performance data to inform maintenance strategies and support plant management decisions.
•Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitates communication between the Reliability team and plant leadership to proactively address maintenance issues affecting critical assets.
•Training & Development: Provides coaching and performance evaluations for team members. Supports professional development through technical training, certifications, and conference participation as required by Cleco.
•Service Excellence: Ensures PdM services consistently meet expectations of Generation management and align with the organization’s vision for asset availability and reliability.
Qualifications
Required Education, Skills & Experience
•Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program. Degrees in Engineering Technology or related technical fields are also acceptable.
•5+ years of related experience
•Alternative: In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience will be considered
•Preferred Skills and Experience:
+ Hands-on experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
+ Proficiency with diagnostic and failure detection tools such as PI System, vibration analysis, oil condition monitoring, and thermography.
+ Effective public speaking and presentation skills for technical and leadership audiences.
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience in people management, including coaching and performance evaluation.
+ Solid understanding of standard business practices and professional conduct.
+ Background in power generation operations and maintenance environments.

•Vibration Institute: ISO Category I–IV Vibration Analyst Certification
•Infrared Thermography: ITC Level I-III Thermography
•Lubrication Analysis: MLA I-III Machinery Lubrication Analyst
•Motor Testing: EMTT - Motor Testing Technician or EMTA - Electric Motor Testing Data Analyst
•Reliability Certification: CMRP Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional
