Summary
The Summer Student will be responsible for various operating and clean-up activities common to a milling operations and common support equipment.
The position will be on fixed term between May 1, 2025, to August 31, 2025.
Responsibilities
•Keeping the circuits and mill grounds clean.
•Maintain and safely operate Company trucks.
•Perform general inspections and notify operations supervisor of potential issues.
•Operating skid steers for clean up activities around the mill and yard.
•Assist employees and become a part of a operations team.
•Actively participate in various safety activities.
•Assist Mill Operations Technicians performing operator driven reliability inspections (ODR) and corrective housekeeping activities.
Education & Experience
•High School or equivalent preferred.
•Mobile equipment (Skid steers, Front End Loader) experience is an asset but not necessary.
•Ability to self-evaluate and continuously strive for quality.
•Good communication skills, written and verbal.
•Must be able to prioritize tasks and keep on schedule.
•Experience preferred: Proven safety and attendance record.
•Ability to lift 50 pounds is required.
•Willingness to work in adverse conditions.
•Self-motivated, team player with a positive attitude.
Working Conditions
•Work involves a camp-based role at the Mount Milligan Mine site with a set work schedule on a 7/7 work schedule, 12 hours per day,
•Regular exposure to working indoors and outdoors, continuous noise, working around machinery with moving parts, around heavy equipment and near others.
•Exposure to hazardous environments with the requirement of wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
•Adhere to Mill Pad Clean shaven Policy.

•Mount Milligan is a safety-sensitive environment and promotes a drug & alcohol-free workplace and has adopted a ZERO – TOLERANCE policy, with respect to alcohol or unauthorized drugs/paraphernalia on site.
•The employee is expected to stay at the mine site, while on rotation.
•Bus transportation to and from site is provided free of charge from Prince George, Fort St. James and Mackenzie.
