Summer Student - Labourer (Hydro - Jackfish)

Overview: Summer Student - Yellowknife

Under the general supervision of the Manager, Hydro Plant Operations, you contribute to the safe and efficient operation of the NTPC Plant. Duties would include heavy lifting, weed whacking, painting, mopping, cleaning and assisting the Plant Operators and Trades Staff with daily tasks and duties. The successful incumbent will gain experience with and knowledge of plant operations. Responsibilities:

Qualifications: Qualifications:* Current High School or post-secondary student. Must have completed a minimum of grade 10 and be age 16 or over. + Proof of recent enrollment/experience in the SNAP program OR + proof of enrollment in a relevant trade school for the 2025-26 school year OR + previous operational student employment with NTPC (during the school year, previous summer jobs, etc.) OR + good academic standing in relevant courses (e.g. shop class, technical education, etc.)
