Sucker Rod Yard Technician

Position summary

The Sucker Rod Yard Tech will be responsible for assisting the Sucker Rod Operations Supervison. This person will be responsible for unloading, loading, and handling sucker rods and couplings. They will prepare sucker rod orders for customers with the correct number of specific items for the job. While orders are not being prepared, this person will maintain the yard and keep track of inventory. Future growth possibilities within the product line as person develops.

Responsibilities

· Follow company processes and ensure competencies are implemented

· Follow strict sucker rod care and handling practices and procedures

· Assist forklift operator for loading and unloading materials

· Operate forklift or for loading and unloading materials

· Build sucker rod orders as the orders are placed by the customer

· Maintain yard cleanliness

· Increase product knowledge (both externally and internally) through collaboration with Sucker Rod Operations Manager and Sucker Rod Development Manager

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

· Sucker Rod Experience preferred, but not required

· Oilfield Experience preferred, but not required

· High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Physical Demands: This job is an active role; physical activity is required to stand, walk, sit, reach, carry, pull, lift or otherwise move objects 50 pounds or more. Employee is required have specific vision abilities which include close and distant vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Employee is also required to talk and hear.

Work Environment: This job operates both indoors and outdoors and is exposed to changing weather conditions, such as extreme hot or cold, rain, sun, wind, etc. This job works near moving mechanical and lifting equipment and the noise level is moderate. This position may encounter working on a weekend day.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
