About the Department
The Cybersecurity Analysis Department plays a critical role in protecting ISO New England’s digital infrastructure. The team oversees asset onboarding, vulnerability management, supply chain risk, phishing resilience, and cloud security. They ensure all assets are securely integrated and monitored, identify and mitigate vulnerabilities across systems, evaluate and manage third-party risks, conduct phishing exercises to strengthen user awareness, and enforce best practices for securing cloud environments.
About the Internship
We are seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Automation Intern to support and enhance the integration of data across various cybersecurity tools, including Jenkins, Contrast Security, and Prisma Cloud. The intern will design and maintain automation pipelines, ensure the reliability of integrations, and streamline security operations. This role provides hands-on exposure to enterprise security tooling, with the opportunity to learn Java, Groovy, and Oracle SQL, while contributing directly to a proactive, data-driven security posture.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Build, maintain, and enhance automation pipelines for cybersecurity operations.
- Support and troubleshoot tool integrations across Jenkins, Contrast Security, Prisma Cloud, and other platforms.
- Use APIs to improve data flow and system interoperability.
- Assist with scripting and automation to strengthen vulnerability management and cloud security processes.
- Ensure the ongoing health and reliability of integrations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency.

What We’re Looking For in a Candidate
- Pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
- Strong interest in automation, scripting, and cybersecurity operations.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
- Willingness to learn Java and Groovy.
- Familiarity with databases and basic SQL; interest in Oracle SQL.
- Ability to troubleshoot integration issues and work with APIs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Hands-on experience in enterprise-level cybersecurity operations.
- Exposure to core security domains: asset security, vulnerability management, phishing defense, cloud security, and supply chain risk.
- Practical skills in automation, scripting, and data analysis.
- Experience with industry-standard cybersecurity tools and CI/CD platforms.
- Mentorship and collaboration opportunities with cybersecurity, DevOps, and IT teams.
