Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cable Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of cabling systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles, as well as proficiency with hand tools and testing equipment. The Cable Technician will work closely with clients to ensure high-quality service and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
•
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot cabling systems including Ethernet and fiber optics.
•
Perform fiber splicing and ensure proper connections for optimal performance.
•
Utilize voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose issues.
•
Work with Cisco routers to configure network settings as needed.
•
Collaborate with service technicians to address customer needs effectively.
•
Ensure compliance with safety standards while working on electrical systems.
•
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
•
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding services rendered.
Skills
•
Proficient in using hand tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
•
Strong knowledge of cabling techniques, including Ethernet installation and fiber splicing.
•
Familiarity with Cisco routers and networking principles is preferred.
•
Solid understanding of electrical systems and mechanical knowledge is essential.
•
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
•
Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
•
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
