Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cable Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of cabling systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles, as well as proficiency with hand tools and testing equipment. The Cable Technician will work closely with clients to ensure high-quality service and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
•Install, maintain, and troubleshoot cabling systems including Ethernet and fiber optics.
•Perform fiber splicing and ensure proper connections for optimal performance.
•Utilize voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose issues.
•Work with Cisco routers to configure network settings as needed.
•Collaborate with service technicians to address customer needs effectively.
•Ensure compliance with safety standards while working on electrical systems.
•Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
•Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding services rendered.
Skills
•Proficient in using hand tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.
•Strong knowledge of cabling techniques, including Ethernet installation and fiber splicing.
•Familiarity with Cisco routers and networking principles is preferred.
•Solid understanding of electrical systems and mechanical knowledge is essential.
•Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
•Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
•Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
