What a Blackeagle Structural Welder - 2nd Shift can expect to do:
•Report to the Fabrication Supervisor.
•Lay out and perform various structural welds.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
•Weld structural steel in all positions.
•Weld stainless steel and carbon steel and possibly other alloys.
•Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
•Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, flange line up pins, wrap around, center finders and rulers.
•Examine work pieces for defects and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
•Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade.
•Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts to obtain required configurations and positions for welding.
•Maintain exceptional attendance.
•Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
•High School Diploma or G.E.D. is preferred. Welding certification is strongly preferred.
•Three (3) or more years of welding experience is strongly preferred.
•Ability to pass welding tests as specified by company.
•Ability to read blueprint drawings is required.
•Strong math skills are required.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
•Possess a high level of energy and motivation.
•Ability to work flexible hours with some weekend and holiday work required.
•Must possess the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, both hourly and management, in a team environment.
•Must comply with company’s core values for the safe and efficient operation of the business and maintain sound relationships among and with employees.
COMPENSATION RANGE
•$2/hour shift differential pay
The expected compensation range is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Final agreed upon compensation is based on factors such as education, experience, and other qualifications.
