Structural Fabricator (437A)

Crescent Mechanical is seeking a highly motivated Structural Fabricator (437A) with fabricating experience to join our growing team to complete a wide range of contractual work in the Burlington / Hamilton / Stoney Creek area / Niagara Region, servicing the Steel and Food Industries primarily.

Job Type: Full Time, Temporary

Salary Type: Hourly

Starting Wage: $40-42 per Hour – Based on experience.

About the Job:

· Complete a multitude of repairs to various machines and equipment. We also have new project installations and modifications to suit our customers' requirements. Old or new – expect to work on it.

Skills and Experience Required:

· Grade 12 or equivalent High School Diploma.

· Must possess a Metal Fabricator 437A Ticket, a four-position CWB and S & T-Ticket.

· Minimum 5 Years of Experience

· Must be able to work safely and effectively in a team environment with minimal supervision.

· Must be proficient at reading blueprints and following schematics to tolerances, determining the materials to use and tools required, and layout and planning the sequence of tasks efficiently and effectively.

· Must have strong fabrication skills, laying out and positioning using a square, straight edge, calipers, protractor, ruler, and pipe wrap.

· Must have experience torch cutting, grinding and heat-treating metals.

· Basic hoistingand rigging knowledge are expected.

· Must have strong communication skills with co-workers and supervisors.

· Must be able to read, write, and fluently speak English.

· Must possess a valid “G” class license with the province of Ontario and must have a personal vehicle.

· Committed to working in a safe and controlled environment.

· Must be able to work from heights.

· Must have basic knowledge of the Health and Safety Act and be aware of the fundamental regulations that apply to this work.

Other Related Courses:

· Stainless Steel Welding experience (Preferred)

· Inconel Welding experience (Preferred)

· Working at Heights Certificate (Mandatory)

· First Aid & CPR Certificate (Preferred)

· Forklift Certificate (Preferred)

· Aerial Lift / Elevated Working Platform Certificate (Preferred)

Other Requirements:

· Must possess all industry-standard PPE, including hard hat, Welding mask/shield, steel toe boots, safety glasses, and work gloves.
