We currently have an opening for an Engineer in Training to join our team.

MUST HAVES:

•

A Fresh graduate from ABET accredited engineering school possessing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.

•

Candidate must have passed the fundamentals of engineering exam and be planning to take the Professional Engineering (PE) exam.

•

Candidate to work side by side with myself and other engineers on the team in learning the building restoration business. Our primary client focus is Condominium Buildings.

•

Our firms primary focus is on the exterior restoration of building facades, with our main emphasis on concrete / steel building structural systems.

•

In addition to time spent in the office, candidate will also be responsible for overseeing the construction work take place, on the construction site, as the engineer of record. Field time may sometimes require the use of your own vehicle, mileage would be reimbursed.

•

Candidate should not have a fear of heights as the construction site work may require time spent on what is referred to as Swing Stage Scaffolding. These metal systems ride up and down the exterior facades of the building allowing the engineer to identify any deficiencies on the building's exterior.

•

During construction site visits the candidate would be responsible for finding, marking and quantifying exterior facade building deficiencies, measuring / monitoring the repair or replacement of facade components.

•

The scope of repair work identified on the construction site must be tracked by the candidate in spreadsheets and summary reporting.

•

Candidate should have good communication and writing skills, understanding of structural steel and concrete design, AutoCAD, Excel and Word.

•

Candidate may be required to attend after hour meetings with clients or business marketing events.
