Mesa presently has an opportunity for a Substation Structural Design Engineer. This role provides an excellent opportunity to excel with innovative ideas and creative problem-solving. This unique position involves the engineering and design of substation sites for electrical utilities. Duties will include coordinating with clients and Mesa engineers, various engineering disciplines, local county and state regulatory bodies, and any other parties involved to produce the necessary drawing packages. The successful candidate will represent the Civil-Structural engineering element of a substation design team, which also includes electrical and mechanical engineering talent. The candidate will be dealing directly with the client frequently; therefore should have great interpersonal skills and business acumen. The candidate must be self-motivated and have a strong desire to produce error-free quality work. Minimal travel and site walk-downs. Must have a willingness to work overtime when required. Demonstrated leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, detail-oriented, and works well with others. Possesses good interpersonal skills to build client relations and work effectively in a team environment.
The expected compensation is a range determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, and qualifications of the candidate, internal equity, work location, and hiring department’s fiscal resources.
