Structural Engineer

VG is looking to hire Structural Engineer for its Lithium Processing Facility (LPF) facility design, Department Of Energy Project, in Oak Ridge, TN. This is a Full-time position with lucrative compensation and benefits. Possibility of hybrid remote role for right candidate.

Responsibilities:

-Designing supports and skids for equipment support and performing various structural calculations of the supports and other equipment

- Prepare scope of work and budget estimates, and monitor progress

- Forecast workload and schedules

- Develop structural design criteria for projects

- Analyze and design structures for water and wastewater treatment, and other facilities

- Prepare structural design calculations and check calculations prepared by others

- Direct the development of structural drawings and models Coordinate design with other disciplines

- Review or write specifications. Develop new specifications as needed

- Perform engineering services during construction, including review of shop drawing submittals and response to contractor questions

- Conduct condition assessments of existing structures and prepare reports

Qualifications & Skills:

· 15+ years of experience engineering and designing both structural steel and concrete foundations

· Ability to lead and direct other structural and engineering resources to meet project quality and schedule objectives

· US citizen required for facility clearance

· TN Professional Engineer License Required

· Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural or Structural Engineering or related discipline

· Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office suite is required.

· Understanding and knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, building construction, building systems and site requirements.
