About This Job

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and experienced Part-Time Stationary Engineer to join our team and help maintain the safe and efficient operation of building systems in a downtown office building. This role primarily covers a 7-hour shift every other Saturday morning, with additional opportunities to fill in during weekday shifts when our full-time engineers are on vacation or out sick.

Responsibilities:

•

+ Operate, maintain, and monitor mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.

•

+ Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.

•

+ Respond to building system alarms, troubleshoot issues, and perform minor repairs.

•

+ Maintain logs and records related to system operations.

•

+ Communicate effectively with property management and contractors as needed.

•

+ Ensure compliance with safety procedures and applicable codes.

Requirements:

•

+ Valid Stationary Engineer license (or equivalent certification required by local jurisdiction).

•

+ Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a commercial or office building setting.

•

+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

•

+ Availability for scheduled Saturday shifts and flexibility to cover weekdays on short notice.

•

+ Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Schedule:

•

+ Regular Shift: Every other Saturday, approximately 6:00 AM – 1:00 PM

•

+ On-Call Availability: Weekday coverage as needed
