Job Summary
Perform highly skilled work that is necessary in operating a steam-electric generating unit composed of boilers, turbines, generators, transformers, pumps, condensers, scrubbers (where applicable) and related auxiliary and accessory equipment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:* Perform the necessary operating, regulating and adjusting duties in maintaining proper control of water levels, pressures, temperatures, draft conditions and output of steam generators and boilers, including the operation of the pumps for feed water, fans and other related accessory and auxiliary equipment to ensure maximum efficiency and correct output of the unit.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education : Two year Associate degree in power plant technology, industrial technology, energy technology or equivalent.
Work Experience: Equivalent would include 2- years of military experience or some post high school education plus two years of related industrial experience.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:* Must be able to climb ladders & stairs a number of times each day.Compensation Data

$48.68-48.68 USD
The Physical Demand Level for this job is: M – Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
