Who We Are
The Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) works at the centre of the province’s power system, ensuring Ontarians have access to reliable and cost-effective electricity when and where they need it. We operate the province’s electricity grid 24/7, design, run and oversee the wholesale electricity markets, and plan and prepare to meet Ontario’s electricity needs – now and into the future.
The Opportunity
Provide coordination and administrative support for the activities of the stakeholder engagement team. Monitor assigned engagement and committee email inboxes, including handling routine correspondence and inquiries related to any engagements or committees. Triaging emails and routing to appropriate SMEs with follow-ups if required.
For external sessions, coordinate and organize services for stakeholder engagement sessions and events, such as securing location, timing, facilities, catering, budgets, special needs requirements, audio-visual equipment, printing and supplies. Source vendor/facilities based on specified criteria and requirements, enquire, and prepare proposals on the value of different options for staging training events/seminars. Provide administrative support duties, prepare monthly and annual reports, organize and maintain a filing system for engagement and committee materials and records. Maintain a database of all engagement and committee related information. Administer the engagement website and work with IESO Web Publishing on posting all materials required for external sector engagements and committees.
What You’ll Be Doing
A period of over 3 years, up to and including 4 years of experience is considered necessary to gain this experience.
This knowledge is considered to be normally acquired either through the successful completion of Grade XII in a Secondary School, or by having the equivalent level of education.

The IESO offers a hybrid work model program to most of our employees, based on business needs. Individuals participating in the program can work an average of three days per week remotely within Ontario. It also offers three flex weeks when individuals can work remotely within Ontario . When working in the office, you will be located at our Mississauga, Toronto, or Oakville location.
