Position Summary
The Staff Software Engineer position serves as a vital member of the Oceaneering Technologies (OTECH) group. Staff Engineers are expected to function as lead or key contributors on software efforts.
OTECH produces and maintains unique underwater systems – typically for US Navy and other US Government Department of Defense customers. Our projects are all one-of-a-kind. Projects range from quick burn to lifecycle management of fielded systems. This position will work closely with software leads to ensure development of a new system follows best practices and the documented design. These components will primarily be written in C++ and executing on an air-gapped orchestrated environment provided by another co-contractor.
Duties And Responsibilities
Staff Engineers are also expected to take a leadership role within the software group. This includes helping craft and enforce policies and procedures for software development, and mentorship of junior team members.

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.

Annualized Pay rate for this position : $145,000- $195,500.
