A&K Construction is seeking a detail oriented Accounting Technician to join our team, as we are expanding our department due to company growth. This candidate will assist the Accounting Manager in multiple key areas and will perform a wide variety of accounting functions with an emphasis on payroll processing as the main backup to the Payroll Manager. This role will work closely with our team of Construction Project Managers and office staff to complete tasks with accuracy.
· Bachelor’s or associate degree in accounting, finance or related field.
· 3+ Years of payroll and accounting experience in an office environment.
· Good phone skills and computer literacy (MS Office)
· Ability to work independently and effectively manage time.
· Attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy.
· Process weekly payrolls and related payroll reconciliations as needed
· Calculate quarterly bonuses as backup to the payroll manager
· Other accounting and administrative duties as necessary.
