ob Summary:
The staff accountant 2 will perform a variety of tax related activities as outlined including sales tax returns, property taxes, payroll taxes and other duties as assigned.
Essential Functions:•Record Sales/Use tax returns for multiple states.
•Prepare Business Privilege Tax Returns: currently file in numerous cities/regions, added as required at work location.
•Process property taxes: maintain list, pay taxes, bill back to lessor as necessary.
•Record Non-PA resident withholding tax.
•Complete payroll tax returns-FIT, State, FUI, SUI, Local.
•Respond timely to tax notices.
•Create new vendor set ups.
•Complete census surveys.
•Enter new asphalt material codes.
•Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment.
•Special projects as directed by CFO, Controller, and Asst. Controller.
•Travel and/or drive personal vehicle to trainings, meetings, & events etc..
•Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
Qualifications:
•Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software applications.
•Ability to work efficiently and complete tasks quickly and accurately.
•Ability to work in teams or independently.
•Understanding of basic accounting processes and reports.
•Learn and follow GOH company policies and procedures.
•Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
•Effective interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
Education:
•Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
Experience:
•1 year of related experience preferred.
