The Senior Reservoir Engineer – Corporate Planning role will play a key role in supporting leadership and cross-functional teams in forecasting, monitoring, and tracking the execution of the capital program. This includes updating the monthly reforecast, working with the teams to create and present the Budget/Mid-Year Update and Long-Range Plan, and performing economic analysis.
- Execute the Budgeting & Mid-Year Update Processes
- Execute the Long-Range Plan Process
- Provide monthly reforecast by utilizing the Master Operations schedule and operational updates to all necessary teams
- Perform scenario analysis to identify potential risks and uncertainties that could affect the project schedule and develop mitigation plans. Also create contingency plans to address unexpected issues.
- Track key metrics and integrate these into the monthly reforecast
- Analyze and benchmark internal and external key variables
- Perform quarterly portfolio analysis to help guide future investment decisions
- Perform quarterly look-forward and look-back to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement in future projects
- Analyze accuracy and variability of forecasting methodology
- Assist in the preparation of documentation in support of Investor Relations
- Work closely with Asset and Operations teams to ensure critical business impacts are accurate and accounted for.

- BS degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering required
- Finance or Data Analytics background considered with applicable prior operational / asset exposure
- Minimum of 8 years of applicable engineering and/or financial (with Asset development/operational involvement) experience
- Solid understanding of engineering economic evaluations
- Demonstrated strategic perspective & experience working in Corporate Planning team preferred
- An asset & operations background with working in a multi-disciplinary team is a plus
- Exposure to horizontal drilling, hydraulic fracturing, and production operations
- Experience with industry/company software including: MS Office, Aries, Spotfire, Wellview, Alteryx, Power BI and SQL Server

- Proactive & creative problem solver integrating new and evolving technologies
- SQL or other coding experience preferred.
- Experience with planning software such as Enersight preferred or DSO/Upstream or Omnira a plus
