We are currently looking for a SENIOR PURCHASING MANAGER located at our Houston, TX headquarters
Responsibilities:
•Guides and direct all corporate functions as part of our executive team.
•Oversees a team of professional buyers and planners.
•Directs the procurement and purchasing operations and strategy to provide the materials and services to meet organizational requirements for quality, volume, availability, and pricing.
•Evaluates and develops strategic supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and implements systems for monitoring performance, assessing risks, and responding to changes in demand or disruptions in the supply chain.
•Works with worldwide suppliers to evaluate and procure products that exceed our customers’ expectations.
•Facilitate communication and coordinate logistics for import/exports with customs brokers.
•Collaborates with other functions to define current and future inventory requirements and manage inventory levels. Manages product lifecycle.
•Develops standards and implement procedures for materials planning, product acquisition, inventory control, material distribution and logistics management.
•Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
•Minimum 10 years of supply chain/purchasing management experience
•Highly Preferred Experience in Access Controls, Fencing, Structural Steel, Building Materials
•Experience with vendor sourcing and contract negotiation
•MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN DISTRIBUTION
•A Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain/Industrial Engineering Technology
•Imports/Exports Procurement/Customs Broker experience REQUIRED.
•Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
