Regardless of reporting lines, the Senior Project Manager will plan, manage, and implement a set of complex cross-functional, cross-enterprise projects leading to the future state of the HR Shared Services (HRSS) organization. This role will lead and motivate cross-company project team members, develop and manage multiple related projects, tie projects to other enterprise initiatives, aid in stakeholder and change management, and act on behalf of the project sponsor in accordance with the overarching HRSS strategic objectives.
Essential Functions•Manages all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall HRSS future state macro project is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of HRSS and THG’s strategic objectives
•Owns the full project life cycle, including the work to assess the current state, envision the future, build a roadmap to the future, select vendors to support the future state technology needs, implement solutions, set success goals, and build maintenance plans
•Manages day-to-day project activities and resources and chairs project management team meetings
•Identifies and develops trusted adviser relationships with project and program partners, sponsors, and stakeholders
•Plays a key role in stakeholder and change management
•Demonstrates a functional acumen to support how solutions will address project and enterprise goals while maintaining alignment with industry best practices
•Provides management for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones
•Establishes practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to enable enterprise-wide success
•Monitors, tracks, and controls outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables
•Defines and delivers status reporting/progress reports regarding overall budget, project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues
•Defines and reports on project success criteria results, metrics, etc.
•Prepares estimates and detailed project plans for all phases of the project
•Develops and delivers appropriate content, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations to various audiences, including project team, sponsors, key stakeholders, and executive leadership
•Participates and/or drives feasibility studies, vendor selections, and proposals for evaluation by appropriate key stakeholders
•Partners with leadership to procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes
•Develops SOWs, RFPs, etc. for requested goods and services
•Develops and manages external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks, and issues
•In alignment with the strategy and priorities, makes decisions on behalf of the sponsor
•Maintains confidentiality and the highest degree of integrity
•Exhibits behaviors in alignment with HRSS and THG's organizational cultures and values
•Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.
Education Qualifications
•Required Bachelor's Degree
•Preferred Master's Degree MBA a plus
Experience Qualifications
•Required 5+ years Strategic Project Management and utilizing PM tools
•Required Demonstrated experience understanding interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs
•Complex, cross-organizational process improvement experience
•Required 5+ years Directly or indirectly managing people
•Required Experience managing a budget
•Vendor management experience
•Required System implementation experience
