Salary Range: The full pay range for this role is $133,000 - $221,700 annually. We generally base our salary decisions on factors such as internal equity, candidate work and/leadership experience, educational credentials, and in some cases, candidate work location.
Scope of Job: The Sr. Pre-Construction Manager is responsible for leading the regional pre-construction efforts for Solar, On-Shore Wind, High Voltage, and Energy Storage Projects within EDF Renewables Grid-Scale Power portfolio.
Working with cross-functional teams, and subject-matter-experts, this position will lead project-related activities pertaining to procurement of EPC construction services from RFP launch through contract execution, BoP cost estimating, constructability risk analysis, and scheduling. The position will also provide support during project acquisition, offtake negotiation, project permitting, stakeholder consultation, construction, and handover to Asset Optimization.
In addition to project-supporting tasks, the position will support continuous improvement initiatives such as documenting and improving processes and procedures, market, and industry knowledge, levelized cost of energy (LCOE) reduction, maintaining EPC contract templates, and contributing to the development of digital tools. Responsibilities: Responsibilities:
50% Manage regional project portfolio:* Coordinate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to evaluate project EPC costs, schedule, and risks.
30% EPC Procurement:* Lead activities related to procurement of EPC services.
5% Manage strategic relationships:* Oversee a network of EPC-contractors, including pre-qualification and on-boarding of new contractors, strategic relationship management of existing qualified contractors, partnering sessions, and annual update of qualification records.
5% Other duties as assigned Supervision of Others: N/A
Working Conditions: Approximately 95% of the time is spent in the office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of MS Office Suite, Tableau, etc.), phones, and general office equipment. Approximately 5% of the time is spent in the field nationally and internationally, visiting potential and existing projects, evaluating sites, and meeting project team members and various stakeholders.
Qualifications: Qualifications & Experience:* Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience including comprehensive and diversified knowledge of renewables EPC market, including knowledge of industry best management practices and engineering principles required to construct a renewable energy plant.
Education:* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:* Strong negotiation skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, walk on uneven surfaces, visit job sites.
