Support engineer providing design and detailing for motor and resistor grid designs

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Provide design and detailing for motor and resistor grid designs.

· CAD design and detailing.

· Teardown follow-up and analysis.

· Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines and other mechanical devices.

· Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals to determine time and cost feasibility to complete projects.

· Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendations to maintenance crew.

· Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using tools, equipment or software.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 5+ years’ engineering experience.

· 3+ years’ detailing experience.

· Master’s degree in engineering will be considered.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

· Previous experience with computer applications and software related to the engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).

· CAD detailing experience.

· Excel computation experience.

· Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations.

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.

· Experience with Teamcenter and Creo.

DESIRED SKILLS:

· FEA analysis experience.

· EM/Thermal motor analysis experience.

· CFD analysis experience.

· Rotating component/structural design background.

SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED:

· Strong communicator, both verbal and written.

· Heavy initiative.

· Analytical and problem-solving ability.

· Team player and detail oriented.
