About the Role:

This position provides manufacturing engineering support for Turbomachinery components manufacturing at Solar Turbines’ Superior Gear facility. Responsibilities include detailed manufacturing planning, manufacturing process continuous improvement, first article proofing, tooling/fixture design, machine selection/requisition, process/quality control, and new product design and development support. The incumbent collaborates closely with fellow manufacturing engineers, design engineering, operations, quality, supply chain, planning, and facility engineering. As Solar upgrades its ERP and implements MES (manufacturing execution system), the position will be supporting Solar production system migration from paper-based manual process to online manufacturing plan, standard work, parts tracking, data entry, and quality control, while incorporating technologies, like mobile CMM, 3D scan inspection, and DPM (direct part marking).

What You Will Do:* Develop detailed parts and assembly manufacturing plans and process requirements/operation instructions

What You Will Do:* 3+ year of manufacturing engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications :* Precision components manufacturing experiences, like turning/milling, and grinding, especially gears and shafts

This position does not offer relocation and is not a remote role; position location in Gardena, CA.

Summary Pay Range:

$108,834.00 - $163,252.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
