Job Summary

This senior level position loads/enters, verifies, manipulates, reviews and analyzes data related to engineering operations, under limited supervision in order to provide technical and administrative support to engineering operations personnel.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

- Performs data management activities, which include loading/entering, verifying, manipulating, analyzing, and reporting data related to engineering operations

- Provides user support for software systems to other technical support and professional personnel, which may include installation and maintenance of software and troubleshooting user issues

- Performs engineering calculations and preliminary analyses for interpretation of data

- May serve as liaison to corporate Information Systems personnel for more complex problems

- Performs selection, analyses, and interpretation of technical data

- Performs advanced data analysis and makes recommendations based on interpretation of data

- Recommends design improvements using complex, but established procedures

- Provides basic, discipline-specific training to new systems users

- Coordinates data transfer and updates shared data sources among departments

- Utilizes Spotfire software to discover trends in operational data and reports

- Applies skills and concepts to ensure data integrity, data reliability, and data accessibility throughout the group

- Compiles data, communicates, and provides information to engineers

- Performs other duties as assigned

Job Specific Skills

- Ability to use rigorous logic, critical thinking skills, and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions

- Ability to build numerical and analytical tools using standard industry and corporate software

- Advanced knowledge of Drilling, Completion, and Workover reports

- Advanced knowledge of PC/mainframe systems

- Advanced knowledge of database application software

Education

Minimum: High School Diploma

Preferred: Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university - Engineering, Math, Science, or related field

Experience Minimum: 5 - 8 years related work experience
