The following duties are essential for this position:
1. Guides and oversees the programming, configuration, and optimization of Operational Technology instrumentation & control devices. Establishes system requirements and recommends enhancements to ensure optimum operating efficiency after analyzing performance data and identifying trends. Investigates root causes and develops remediation strategies in response to system, process, and equipment failures.
2. Designs and enhances the SCADA Human Machine Interface (HMI) control logic and display screens to make the system more operator-friendly and effective. Manages HMI patches and upgrades. Ensures the integrity and accessibility of real-time and historical databases and graphical user interfaces.
3. Performs all aspects of system and network administration associated with the Operational Technology infrastructure. Configure, test, and commission networks including but not limited to routers, firewalls, network switches, end devices, and cable/wireless communication systems.

1. Manages large-scale projects to include providing direction for the design, development and execution of technical assignments involving, but not limited to, the following:
a. Construction of new and maintenance of existing pipeline systems including selection of materials, development of procedures, compliance with applicable codes and inspection of work in progress;
b. Preparation of the scheduling and subsequent evaluation of leakage surveys.
c. Operation of pipeline system including regulation, measurement, curtailment and loss or gain of natural gas;
d. Compliance with Federal, state and local rules and regulations;
e. Design of system mains, regulator and meter settings and corrosion control protection;
f. Preparation and administration of capital and expense budgets including economic justification of capital expenditure proposals.
2. Provides input regarding the development and evaluation of the Company's operating standards.
3. Conducts product evaluation and presents recommendations to standards committee based on product safety, economics of use and user friendliness.
4. Reviews paperwork regarding completed jobs for accuracy and adherence to original design specifications.
5. Ensures the accurate flow of field data for permanent facilities' files and maps. May direct employees engaged in the preparation and maintenance of required maps and records.
6. Coordinates engineering activities with other operational functions in assigned area to ensure the timely completion of projects.
7. May serve as the primary Business Unit incident coordinator.
8. Guides employees and assumes responsibility for training and development.
9. Performs special studies and evaluations as required.
10. Displays a high level of critical thinking in bringing successful resolution to high-impact complex problems.
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering and six years professional experience in engineering.
Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers in order to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or information on technical concepts to individuals with experience or knowledge of the technical area.
Requires the ability to perform algebraic, trigonometric and geometric operations and/or moderately complex statistical and/or accounting methods.
Requires advanced knowledge of various software applications to create complex documents, reports and graphics.
Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
