Role Summary: You will serve as the technical lead for implementing gas transport and customer information systems. Activities include leading technical workstreams within projects, consulting with IT and internal departments, troubleshooting technical issues to maintain system integrity, and collaborating with coworkers and vendors to make informed decisions regarding data integrations and application architecture.


What You Will Do

Work with IT and internal subject matter experts to gather requirements and ensure understanding across all project phases.

Guide project plan workstreams, including QA testing and development tasks, by consulting across teams and maintaining a holistic view of the project's technical aspects.

Be a liaison with the ONE Gas data governance group.

Use technical skills to troubleshoot issues and understand the technical connections between applications.

Participate in most aspects of software enhancement for packaged applications, including configuration, testing and maintenance activities.

Lead software enhancement projects including directing the work assignments and priorities of others.

Collaborate with process owners on documentation of application defects, enhancements and projects.

Lead configuration, testing and maintenance of software solutions as prioritized by the business including creating/updating system documentation and training materials around an existing application suite.

Lead gathering of requirements to determine capabilities to be delivered.

Consult with users on priorities, complexities and other impacts of the requirements.

Provide time and cost estimates for proposed changes resulting from the requirements.

Identify opportunities to deploy existing solutions in other departments.

Coordinate and communicate development activities with other team members, infrastructure personnel, vendors and management.

Follow defined change control and compliance procedures associated with software development, including all required documentation and governance standards.

Work with users through consulting and training to ensure use of technology solutions.

Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other team members.

Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.

What You Will Need

Preferred Bachelor's Degree in MIS, computer science, mathematics, other related field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job related experience to include:

Demonstrated ability with data conversion, data extraction and interaction with data sets, and SQL language.

Experience with data integration tools, platforms, and techniques.


Knowledge of CDC processes and their implementation.

Working knowledge of networking and infrastructure components that support and connection applications.

Experience in planning and testing Disaster Recovery scenarios.


Knowledge of continuous deployment pipelines.


Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.


Experience with multiple development languages and platforms.


Experience in software development and programming concepts/techniques.


Experience working with relational database management systems.

Experience with most aspects of the software development lifecycle methodology and basic project management concepts.

Experience with basic infrastructure technologies and the ability to understand/communicate impacts resulting from development activities.


Experience directing and training other project members.


Experience communicating.

Experience developing information, conducting meetings and making presentations.


Read and write fluently in English.


Use office tools and equipment required.

Communicate and exchange information or instructions; conduct oral presentations and meetings.


Visual ability to perform job responsibilities.
