The Sr. Accounting Manager is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including Consolidate financial statement and related disclosure and footnotes, general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end audit preparation. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Finance or another management personnel that the President of the Company may designate.
This position will be based out of our office in San Francisco, with a potential in-office schedule set at the direct manager’s discretion in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial consolidation and closing, including foreign currency translation and elimination entries.
- Prepare and review financial statements and disclosures.
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and support quarterly reviews and year-end audits.
- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of payment transactions as well as reporting of all financial information including variance analysis and various non-routine reports.
- Analyze and interpret financial information that corporate executives need in order to make sound business decisions.
- Review vendor invoices, employee expense reports, payroll-related expenses, and activities and post journal entries.
- Work with the non-U.S.-based parent company, subsidiaries, and other affiliated companies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
- Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Management as needed.- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or another business-related field with 8+ years of professional work in an accounting department with 3+ year accounting management experience.
- Strong knowledge of the consolidated financial statement under US GAAP and IFRS.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and explain complex information clearly.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent leadership, team development, people management and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Ability to execute in a dynamic, fast-paced, and demanding environment.
- Ability to influence across the company and interact at all levels.
- Experience with finance and revenue accounting.
- Audit experience
- Experience with internal controls and process improvement.
- Excellent organizational, communication, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills.- 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or solar industry - 3+ years of experience in accounting system management
- Accounting experience and big 4 experience is preferred
- Willingness to travel at least 20% of the time
- CPA highly Preferred
- Bilingual (English and Korean)
- Experience on NetSuite
