Position Details

- 4 day -10hr shift Monday - Thursday, 5:30am to 4:15pm

What You Will Do

- Operate and maintain heat treat furnaces.

- Operate and maintain media blaster.

- Setup and operate welding machines based on job requirements.

- Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standard.

- Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.

- Interact politely and professionally with customers and/or coworkers.

- Uses hand welding and flame cutting equipment such as arc welders, gas welders, and gas torches to weld together metal components (flat, horizontal, or vertical plates and pipes)

- Works from sketches, prints, operation sheets, preliminary drawings, and written/verbal instructions.

- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED

- 1 year of relevant experience

- Good computer skills

- Excellent organizational and communication skills

- Ability to multi-task

- Commitment to work overtime as needed

- Maintain appropriate levels of daily attendance, initiative and productivity

- Ability to read and interpret documents furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, quality manuals and procedure manuals

- Ability to perform simple shop math, convert decimals to fractional equivalents, and fractions to decimal equivalents

- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, calipers, tape measures and angle gauges

- Must maintain welding specifications in accordance with all quality and safety protocols.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous GTAW Manual or Automatic experience

- Experience in the oil and gas industry preferred

Physical Demands

- The employee regularly lifts and carries up to 50 lbs.

- The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers to pick, feel, and/or inspect material. The employee will also reach with arms and hands as needed.

- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

- The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

- Role is deemed safety sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing.
