Essential duties and responsibilities:
The primary technical areas include:
- Physical Asset Management - works with other Division Specialists to provide support to the Teams on identification and completion of tasks to support the PAM program objectives.
- Engine Reliability - monitors reliability data (Run Hours, Unit Availability) and supports field teams in resolving issues that impact reliability.
- Mechanical Performance and Health Program - supports the Division EA’s by providing procedures, technical expertise, troubleshooting, training, and technology development/application.
- Engine/Compressor performance - monitors performance and provides technical solutions and/or support for problem resolution to achieve optimal engine and compressor performance.
- Engine/Compressor maintenance — provides support to resolve complex maintenance issue/problems and designs comprehensive maintenance approaches to optimize resources and overall effectiveness. This includes being the Project Manager for assigned capital maintenance projects.
- This position is responsible for supporting all facilities within the Southeast Division.
- The Reliability Specialist reports to the Manager of Reliability
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Qualified candidates must possess minimum of 6-8 years of experience in gas transmission or related field and a high school diploma or equivalent
- Candidate expected to have operation, maintenance, and administrative experience. Effective written & verbal communication, as well as interpersonal skills to work in a collaborative environment. Candidate must be a self-starter, have good organizational skills, and be able to accept constantly changing priorities. Should be a good communicator and work planner with excellent work ethics. Willingness to work in an environment where compensation is tied to performance and skill level.
- Candidate must have good computer skills in Excel, Word, Power Point, Infor EAM, and SAP. Previous experience in conducting group training sessions is a plus.

- The Reliability Specialist is required to live within 45 minutes of the reporting location.
- Incumbent is subject to call out 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and extended workdays and/or workweeks. Required to carry a cell phone and is subject to 24-hr/day callouts at any time for emergency response. Ability to travel is required and may be extensive, at times. Candidate must have a proven safe driving record. Paid relocation is negotiable.
